Most people running a WordPress website will need to deal with spam if they want to allow any user interaction on their website at all. As with most things WP, “there’s an app for that” – the solution is usually with a plugin.

 

First thing you should do is to consider if you want to allow comments on your sire at all or not. If you do not want to publish visitors comments but still want their feedback, consider using a contact us page. Include a phone number, email, or even a contact form to keep control over how user communicate with you. If you don’t really need user commenting on your WP site, just require user registrations to comment and then turn user registration off and you are all done.
